Changes To Your Records
The Registrar's Office houses and maintains all academic records pertaining to each student and alumnus of the university. You should report any changes in your name and social security number to this office. Students with acess to WebSTAR should update their address, telephone numbers and email information on WebSTAR.
Privacy of Records
The Registrar's Office protects the privacy of your records in accordance with the Federal Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) . Please contact this office for further information on your rights under this Act.
Accessing your Grades
All grades are reported to this office each semester and officially posted to your academic transcript. Once posted, the office makes grades available to all students through the use of WebSTAR. In addition, the office will provide an official printed copy of your grades upon request to your employer if your participate in a tuition reimbursement plan at work. The university does not mail grade reports to students. Click on the request form to have your grades sent to an employer.
Providing Transcripts
The Registrar's Office will provide a copy of your academic history (transcript) at your request. If a potential employer requires one, if you are transferring to another school, or if you simply desire to have a copy for yourself, this is the place to go. Transcripts are $7.25 per copy through the on-line service utilized by the University. Click here to request a copy of your transcript. Transcripts can also be ordered by completing a transcript request form in the office of the Registrar.
Registering For Classes
This office is proud to provide UNO students with a state-of-the-art registration system that can be accessed through WebSTAR. Information on how to register and what classes are offered can be found in the Class Schedule/Bulletin available online.
Enrollment Verifications
For those of you who require verification of your enrollment at UNO for your student loan provider, good student discount on auto insurance, or to obtain a bridge pass (for you westbankers!), the office will produce an official copy for you. Click here to fill out an enrollment verification form.
Veterans Benefits
Veterans attending school with G.I. benefits should visit the veterans representative located in the Registrar's Office.
Diplomas
The Registrar's Office produces all diplomas for graduates. Diplomas are produced on site and distributed at the commencement ceremony, which is directed and coordinated by this office. Replacement diplomas lost during Hurricane Katrina can now be requested, using the following form (Replacement Diploma Form). The cost is $50 per diploma.

A reception will be hosted by your college immediately following the commencement ceremony. All receptions will be in the Auxiliary Gym of the Lakefront Arena.
The deadline for applying for a degree for the Spring 2008 commencement has now passed. Students who missed the deadline can appeal through their dean for approval to apply for May graduation. Paper applications are available in the college offices. The Office of the Registrar will only accept such applications if they have been approved by the dean of your college, in the form of a written letter. All students must be prepared to pay any associated fees at the time the application for a degree is submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
